Fires in SD
Does anyone even read this?
Yes there are fires in southern california. UCSD was shut down today (all "non-essential employees" though could decide whether to come...something like that. How'd you like to be classified as a "non-essential employee"? Bullshit I'd say.) So instead of going to school, we all came to 'study' at a coffee shop (read: I've read a total of one -- ONE! -- chapter. And it's 7:45pm). Now we got wine and things are looking up. And Kevin says, "to friends even in times of fire". Now they're evacuating Mira Mesa. This is getting quite scary. My paintings! Shit.
Read Tricia's blog for an interesting analysis of the fires.
(and, as a side note, don't forget that the rest of the country world is still being runintotheground while the fires rage. Bush asked congress for $46 billion dollars more for the war. Good lord.)
...and that's all I have to say...
Except for -- body odor. What do you all think about body odor? There's a guy who works here who keeps coming to sit at the couch nearby us. And whenever he comes by his odor sort of overwhelmes us. At first I thought it was someone at our table starting to sweat a little bit. But then I walked by the guy once and that's when I knew. It kind of smells bad, but it also kind of doesn't bother me. Hmmm...well alright then!
